Season 3 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power arrives on Prime Video on Wednesday, November 11, 2026. This time it doesn't come out one episode a week. Amazon is releasing the season in three batches over three Wednesdays, and the last two episodes land the day before Thanksgiving.
Here's the full schedule, what to know before you press play, and how DFW fans can turn premiere week into a two-night watch weekend at Mirador's Texas Shire Houses, three hobbit-inspired storybook houses near Mingus, about an hour and 45 minutes west of Fort Worth.
Rings of Power Season 3 release schedule
According to Amazon's announcement, the season streams exclusively on Prime Video on this schedule:
| Release date | Episodes |
|---|---|
| Wednesday, November 11, 2026 | Episodes 1–4 (premiere) |
| Wednesday, November 18, 2026 | Episodes 5–6 |
| Wednesday, November 25, 2026 | Final two episodes of the season |
Variety reports the same three dates. Amazon first announced the November 11 premiere at its upfront presentation in May 2026, and the full schedule came with the trailer on October 21.
What time do new episodes drop? We couldn't find an official release time from Amazon, so we're not going to guess. Check the Prime Video app the night before each drop.
What to know before you watch
- Where to watch: Prime Video only. Amazon says the season streams in more than 240 countries and territories.
- How it releases: Four episodes on day one, then two a week. That makes premiere night a real binge, so plan on a long evening.
- Catching up: Amazon says the first two seasons are already streaming on Prime Video.
- Where it fits: Amazon describes Season 3 as set several years after Season 2, at the height of the war between the Elves and Sauron, as he tries to forge the One Ring.
- When it ends: The finale batch drops on November 25, so the whole season is out before Thanksgiving dinner on November 26.
Make premiere week a storybook watch weekend
The premiere falls on a Wednesday, which makes it a good excuse for a midweek getaway. Book two nights, drive out after lunch, and watch the first four episodes inside a house with a round door. Every Texas Shire House has a two-night minimum, check-in at 3 p.m. and checkout at 11 a.m., so a Wednesday-to-Friday stay covers premiere night plus a slow day in between.
Other ways to time it:
- Middle weekend (November 20–22): Arrive with episodes 5 and 6 queued up. You'll be caught up before the finale.
- Thanksgiving week: Wait for the November 25 finale and watch the whole season in one stay.
Open dates change quickly, especially around holidays, so check the calendar before you make plans.

Setting up the screen
The house listings don't include a TV, so plan your screen ahead of time:
- Movie Night add-on. Mirador's Movie Night add-on comes with a projector, screen, HDMI cord, popcorn and setup instructions. Bring a laptop or streaming stick that plugs into HDMI, and sign in to Prime Video before you leave home. Request it on the Add-ons & Experiences page after you book. Prices currently differ between Mirador's pages, so confirm when you request it.
- Wi-Fi. Each house has Starlink Wi-Fi, according to Mirador's FAQ. We can't promise streaming speeds, so download a few episodes to a phone or tablet before you leave if your Prime Video plan allows it.
- Snacks. The Texas Snack Basket ($65) includes Texas-made jerky, nuts, popcorn, sweets and sparkling water. That's enough for a four-episode night.
Which Texas Shire House for a watch weekend?
The Writer House (blue door) sleeps up to four with a queen bed and built-in bunks. It suits a couple or a small group of friends, and its oven means you can bake a tray of something between episodes.
The Baker House (yellow door) sleeps up to five with a queen bed, built-in bunks and a sleeping nook. It's the one to book if five of you are making a weekend of it.
The Gardener House (green door) sleeps up to four and has a living roof and a garden out front. It has no oven, so plan on stovetop and air-fryer snacks.
Every house has a kitchenette with a stovetop, microwave, air fryer, sink and fridge. The Baker and Writer also have ovens, and the Gardener has no oven. Bring groceries for the stay, since dining options nearby are limited. For a side-by-side comparison, see Baker, Gardener or Writer? How to Choose Your Texas Shire House.
Make it a fan weekend
- Second breakfast, your way. Cook a slow skillet breakfast the morning after the premiere and talk through the episodes.
- Get outside between episodes. Palo Pinto Mountains State Park is about 24 road miles away. See Things to Do Near Mingus, Texas on a Weekday.
- Costumes welcome. The Themed Photoshoot add-on ($500 per session) is a one-hour session with a professional photographer, and you bring your own costumes and props.

House rules still apply. Each house has a registered-guest limit, there's no smoking or vaping indoors, and candles and open flames aren't allowed. Pack battery candles if you want a little glow.
