Will there be a Season 2?
As of November 1, 2026, Great American Media hasn't announced a second season. Before the premiere, Jessica told TV Insider, "We're hoping for a Season 2." We'll update this guide if the network announces one, and Great American Pure Flix's series page is the official place to watch for news.

Can you visit where Beyond the Bayou was filmed?
The show follows the Robertsons at Comanche Moon Ranch in North Texas. Its ranchettes are privately owned, and the family's home there is private, so it isn't open to visitors.
What you can book is a stay at Mirador, which appears on the series (see Mirador on Beyond the Bayou). Mirador's three Texas Shire Houses are hobbit-inspired, earth-covered storybook houses built into the hills near Mingus, about an hour and a half west of Fort Worth. A stay there is a stay in one of these houses. It doesn't include a visit to anyone's home or a chance to meet the family.
- The Baker House sleeps up to five, with a queen bed, built-in bunks, a sleeping nook and a full kitchen.
- The Gardener House sleeps up to four under a living roof, with a queen bed, built-in bunks and a kitchenette (stovetop, microwave, air fryer, sink and fridge, no oven).
- The Writer House, the largest of the three, sleeps up to four, with a queen bed, built-in bunks and a kitchenette that also has an oven.

Make it a Beyond the Bayou weekend
If you'd like to watch somewhere that feels a little like the show, a two-night stay gives you time for a few episodes and a slow morning in the hills.
- Movie night. The Movie Night add-on ($90 on Mirador's Add-ons & Experiences page) includes a projector, screen, HDMI cord, popcorn and setup instructions. Bring your own laptop or streaming device and your streaming login.
- Wi-Fi. Each house has Starlink Wi-Fi, according to the Mirador FAQ, which also covers groceries, parking and pets.
- Pick your house. A family of five fits in the Baker. Couples and smaller groups of up to four can choose the Gardener, under its living roof, or the Writer, the largest of the three.
Every Texas Shire House has a two-night minimum, and open dates change, so check the live calendar for the nights you want.
